Community Resources

On December 8th, 1796 we recognize the 225th birthday of Jefferson’s founding. The New Hampshire Legislature approved a petition by a small group of intrepid settlers to incorporate the rugged and beautiful wilderness into the community that has played such a special part in all our lives.
The Society has many photos, but obviously none of this occasion, and our time machine is currently in the shop for repairs. But we invite you to imagine what it must have been like as the beginnings of our town were laid out.
When your day is done please lift a glass or mug of your favorite beverage, whatever it may be, in a toast to those who laid the groundwork to make this incredible place our town.
Happy Birthday Town of Jefferson!!
